Parking

Free public parking will be available at the Sundial Bridge and Redding Civic Auditorium at 844 Sundial Bridge Drive, limited to availability. Additional parking will be available at Turtle Bay’s McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens West Entrance at 1155 Arboretum Drive, with access to the Sundial Bridge either through the botanical gardens or Sacramento River Trail. When parking, please keep in mind what area you are going to be viewing the bridge from. Once the bridge closes, you will be unable to cross over the river until it’s re-opened after the show.

The following vendors will be onsite selling food and drinks at all BANDALOOP events:

Mosaic Restaurant at the Sheraton will serve a special menu honoring Santiago Calatrava with Seven Days of Spain.


Bridge Closure & Rehearsal Dates

Portions of the Sundial Bridge will be closed to the public during rehearsals beginning Saturday, June 22, and ending Sunday, June 30, 2024. The lower amphitheater below the Sundial Bridge will also be closed to the public from Saturday, June 22, to Sunday, June 29, 2024. The bridge will be closed at 9:00 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. on Friday, June 28, and Saturday, June 29, 2024. It will reopen after the show.


VIP Ticketed Viewing parties

While performances are FREE to attend, Turtle Bay Exploration Park is offering a selection of VIP tickets to view BANDALOOP performances from a prime location within Turtle Bay’s McConnell Botanical Gardens on Friday, June 28th, and Saturday, June 29th. All proceeds from VIP tickets support Turtle Bay’s nonprofit educational programs and exhibitions. 


Frequently Asked Questions

Is seating provided?  Seating is not provided, please bring lawn chairs with you, blankets are not allowed.

Can I bring my dog?  All dogs must be restrained on a leash and not pose a safety risk to other viewers.  Exotic pets are not allowed (snakes, birds, lizards, ferrets, etc.)

Is this ADA-accessible?  Yes, viewing locations and bathrooms are ADA-accessible.

Is smoking/alcohol allowed?  Smoking and/or vaping is not permitted. Alcohol is available for purchase and consumption in designated areas only.

Where are the bathrooms located? The bathrooms are located next to Branch House, in Quarry Plaza, and at Riverfront Park.

Will Turtle Bay be open during the show?  Turtle Bay will be open until 8:00pm on Friday and Saturday.

Which shows are best for families?  We believe both show options are excellent for families, but those with younger children may prefer the earlier morning show times.

Can I bring my own food and drink?  Participants can bring food and non-alcoholic beverages in. Vendors will also be onsite selling food and drinks.
